GLITTER FRAMES

Metal frames are so inexpensive to pick up at the thrift store.
Simply paint with glue and add some sparkle for a pretty way to embellish a present.

I like to add  monograms to the front of these frames and use as  parcel toppers.
Happy day!

WINTER WISH & FESTIVE NEST

Well winter arrived here on the West Coast in full force yesterday with our first snow fall!!

I love making these paper pinwheels.....these banners were a hit at our Festive Nest sale last Christmas and I have made individual parcel toppers using this idea for Christmas this year (pictures to follow at a later date).  You can find them for sale at The Passionate Home.
I have been receiving lots of emails enquiring about our Festive Nest and when and where it is this year.....I am so sorry to tell everyone that we are not doing a Christmas sale this year due to some health issues among some of the group.   BUT DON'T WORRY..... all is well and we will be back with a spring sale!!!!!!

I am in the midst of moving homes (all before Christmas) so am completely overwhelmed with that which is why I have been so absent from the blogging world!  Looking so forward to our move....a smaller house and yard will allow me more crafting time!!!!!!

Keep warm my blogging friends!

VINTAGE SPOON GIFT TAGS

Here is a simple and fun idea for your Christmas gift tags.....
look for Christmas related vintage cutlery at thrift stores through the year, drill a small hole and loop some ribbon through and tie to a gift.
You can use metal stamps to etch names in the cutlery or alternatively use a sharpie.
Oh sooooo cold here on the West Coast....I'm afraid we really aren't used to it!!!
Hoping you are all keeping warm!

BOTTLE BRUSH TREES

Well, I am in full Christmas mode now!!!!  We even got a little dusting of snow last night with ?more on its way today (we are hoping!!).  The boys have their skiis out and are ready to go!!!!
I have always loved vintage bottle brush trees, but have NEVER been able to find any......
Last year I noticed tutorials all over blogland for bleaching trees....this is my version of those projects.
Displayed in little embellished pieces found at the thrift store they are an adorable addition to your Christmas decor.
Have a great day my blogging friends!

STAR LIGHT, STAR BRIGHT

These are some little Christmas star ornaments I have been working on.  They are made from the pages of vintage books.

Wish I could take the credit for coming up with this cute idea, but I saw something similar to it on Etsy by Paper Eclectiques Deux.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Happy day!

WORD PLATES!

Here is a great idea for little silver plates......just apply a word to the front and stand it up on a little easel for some easy Christmas cheer.

I was inspired to create these little word plates after finding a bag full of easels
at the thrift store.  A little added bling takes them up a notch.

Have a happy weekend everyone!!  One of my boys reminded me today that there are only 14 days until Christmas.................EEK!!!......HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!!??!!

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LITTLE LIKE CHRISTMAS!

Don't you just love finding new and different things!!??!!
I am so excited about my find today that I have rushed home to take pictures to post on my blog in between all the sporting events we have set with our three boys.  On a quick trip into one of my favorite stores, The Passionate Home, I found these adorable Christmas balls stamped with fleur de lis (another of my favorite things).  One of the ladies, Elinor, made them and I just had to show them to you all.

For now I have just placed them in a white wooden bowl I have, put a mirror at the bottom for reflection, added the balls, a candle and a little fake snow.
A gorgeous, uplifting find on a rainy blustery day, don't you think!!??!!
Happy day my blogging friends.
