PINK SATURDAY ROSES

Happy Pink Saturday............
I met so many new blogging friends last week....thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely comments!!!!!!  Blogland really is one of THE MOST INSPIRING PLACES!!!
Today I wanted to show you some gorgeous PINK roses from my garden.  They are David Austin climbing roses and are one of my favorites!!!
The beautiful hand stamped ribbon you see along side my centerpiece is from my friend Tracey,
at Raggygirl Vintage.  She absolutely spoiled me on my birthday and you will be seeing more of the fabulous things she made for me!!!!

I found this little galvanized container at the thrift store......stenciled some words on it, filled it with water, floating candles and my pretty roses.
Thank you to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting Pink Saturday......be sure to visit her blog for links to all the participants!!!!
Happy day!

WHITE WEDNESDAY

Happy White Wednesday !!!
More lake pictures today.......this is our little row/sail boat all decked out for a little romantic picnic.  You will remember my gorgeous white ruffly tablecloth from another post.  I so love it and picked it up at Stella Bleu  in White Rock, BC.

VINTAGE PINK

Hello blogging friends.  One day this spring while shopping at the thrift store I found this amazing old prom dress that I just had to have.  In reality, I will never wear it (can't even begin to get the zipper done up), but I thought it would look so pretty just hanging in my studio and I will also use it for a prop in some of my photography so you are sure to see it in some future posts.

Today I am participating in Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.  Be sure to stop by her blog for links to all the participants.

JUST A SUMMER DAY

Happy White Wednesday!!!!
Today I am sharing some pictures of a white candelabra picked up at the thrift
store for cheap, cheap (was a nasty brass, but got the white spray paint treatment).
These are some shots taken at the lake while watching the boys swim and play (okay, better be honest...AND FIGHT!!).
Isn't that sky absolutely amazing!?!

THE CHALLENGE OF BOYS

When my 3rd son was born one of the nurses at the hospital said, "Oh......POOR YOU!!!..ANOTHER BOY!!" (being a nurse myself I am embarassed to share that with you!)!! I knew at the time she was wrong and 13years later I can tell you that I have never forgotten her comment and I wish many a time that I could tell her that my three boys have been a complete and utter blessing to me.  They are kind, caring, helpful, considerate, thoughtful, and full of fun!!!
The only really challenging thing about having three boys is finding someone to pose for me when I get an idea for a picture............he,he,he........................THIS was a money shot..meaning I had to pay someone a lot of money to put the skirt on so I could "just take some leg and feet pictures"!!!!  Well...couldn't resist this shot as well...the person for confidentiality reasons MUST remain nameless.
Happy day!!"

BLOWING IN THE WIND

I am so enjoying these wonderful summer days....having three teenage boys off school and home for the summer is busy, interesting and, needless to say, a bit challenging!!!!
One of our favorite places on earth is my parent's cabin at North Barriere Lake.
My family has had this little cabin on the lake since I was a young girl and my parents spend hours keeping it up and running for all us kids to use at our leisure....we can't ever thank them enough for having created such a special place for us!!!
My boys keep busy there most of the summer dirt biking, kayaking, sailing, tubing/skiing/wakeboarding, EATING, etc, and much to our surprise and awe my parents built a basketball court for them this spring (this despite my dad undergoing ongoing treatment for prostate cancer!!!!)

When we go up to the lake I always load the car with as many crafts as I possibly can and have great fun creating and taking pictures.  This was a project I did while I was there this past week....the apron is made from an old pillowcase I found at the thrift store....I have always loved old 'yo-yo' quilts and have wanted to try making some of these yo-yos...it was so easy to do!!

Hope all my blogging friends are enjoying these wonderful summer days!!

JEWELRY FUN

I have been having such fun doing some vintage re-design jewelry (inspired by my extremely talented friend, jewelry designer, Gretchen of Mimitoria's Designs).
These were some old chandy crystals that I have had for years awaiting the perfect project.
Hope all my blogging friends are having some warm sun-filled days of summer!
Happy day!
