I love junk and all things old, chippy and used.
I am from a family of treasure hunters, and have fond memories of many junking adventures during my childhood with my parents and two siblings. We would pull up to an old abandoned homestead, get out and dig for the day. Oh...what treasures we would find!!!
I love repurposing junk and finding new and fun ways of incorporating it into home decor. Shabby chic design is my favorite, but I do a little bit of everything, in between working as a pediatric nurse and raising three lovely sons and a spoiled puppy!

When I read you were a pediatric nurse, it brought tears to my eyes. We had a three year old grandson, Landen, who had neuroblastoma cancer and lived 15 months after they found it. They gave him 30 thirty days but he wasn't ready to go yet. So, we had 15 months with him, some good and some not so good.
But, I will forever be grateful to the special nurses who took care of him. You all are a very blessed and gifted group to work daily with these precious children and give them and their family so much encouragement and love. All of his nurses (16) turned up for his services in Spiderman tee shirts (which was his favorite). He walked around the hospital with his red cape on most of the time. But, to this day, I still keep in touch with those special people.
You are truly God sent. Thank you so much for what you do.
