White Wednesday Gardin

Welcome to my blog, junkdreams. I am so excited to be participating in White Wednesday, a day devoted to all things white, inspired by Kathleen at http://www.fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/. Visit Kathleen's blog to see the list of all blog participates in this. White is my very favorite colour!!!, and I will have lots of whites to show you each Wednesday. Enjoy...and thanks for visiting.

For my first White Wednesday post I decided to share some images of whites in my garden. I love all things white, and my garden has many white flowers and white accessories....so many, in fact, that next Wednesday will feature MORE garden pictures!!!

I'm always on the lookout for old staircase spindles and use them in a variety of ways....this one holds a candle to light the garden.

Isn't the contrast of the chippy white paint against these pink flowers gorgeous!

A white chandelier hanging from a tree over a picnic table (a WHITE picnic table, of course) in the backyard.

This is a silverplated jug found at the thrift store that I embellished and planted up with white bacopa.

The blue seat of a garage sale find old tricycle contrasts this white flower so beautifully.

That's all for today..hope you have enjoyed these images of whites in my garden. Oh.....and I know it isn't really Wednesday today, but we are on our way up to the lake for the week and there is no internet service thus am posting early! Have a great week and thanks again for visiting. I would love to hear your comments.

Hand Mirror Project

Old hand mirror/brush sets are great finds at your local thrift stores. I often use them in place of a tag atop a gift. Rub-ons (found at your local scrapbooking store) adhere easily to the mirror. A little jewel finishes off the look. Oh...and the eiffel tower water globe......what a great thrift store find that was!!!
Happy thrifting and thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.

Baby Junk

Here are some fun junk pieces that I embellished for a nursery. Don't you just love baby junk?

Wouldn't this little teapot be an adorable way to present a floral bouquet to a new mom?

I am always on the look out for old baby shoes, and love to embellish them. The name and birthdate of the receiver of these can be written on the bottom.

This loving cup was one of my favorite junk finds and I regret selling it now as they are so hard to find. Wouldn't it be adorable in a baby's room holding some needed supplies?

Medical Junk

This old enamelware pitcher is one of my favorite junk pieces. When I was in nursing school living in residence it was used in one of the labs. One of my junking buddies sent me the vintage syringe...........this is a little junkstyle get well bouquet.
