March 11, 2011

CONFESSION TIME!

My husband got me a BEAUTIFUL new camera for Christmas and my confession is that....
IT HAS TAKEN ME ALMOST THREE MONTHS TO LEARN HOW TO USE IT!!!!
It is the Nikon 3100 and the consumer tag lines go on and on about how easy it is to use!!!!
WELL.....not so much for this TECHNOLOGICAL GEEK!!!

Finally, some new pictures to show you taken from my new camera!!  Hooray!!!!
These are some paper flowers made from pages of old music hymnals.....they were inspired by Laurel of Chipping with Charm (and charming she is!).
I made some pretty garlands from my paper flowers and they will be available for sale at
 THE FESTIVE NEST SPRING SALE
on
April 16 & 17, 2011
Happy day!
xojanis
Okay, enough of the computer and camera play time.....I'm off to nap before my nightshift....

Love your flowers! I have that camera as well and I know very little about it. I need to take a class to learn more about the camera.

Hi Janis,
I have to confess that I have never read the instruction book that came with my camera! LOL.
It's all done by trial and error and a good editing program.
I think your photos are lovely and the little paper flowers are so pretty.

Gorgeous Janis, beyond Gorgeous. I love these Laurel inspirations and hers were beautiful at the Flea Market Under Glass event she created them for.
Love your hymn music flowers. They make me think of my Mom and bring back fond memories of her and her love for singing in our church choir. :) Thanks for conduring up pleasant memories.
Excellent photos too by the way, you lucky girl... I bought the Nikon P100, nothing near as nice as yours. :( lol

Thanks Janis I've been wanting to learn how to make these flowers ever since I saw a local shop making them. She uses glass glitter in the middle and it looks great but charges a pretty penny.
Anytime you have a question on you camera I'd be happy to help. I have a nikon d60.
Thinking of jumping ship to a Canon...uggh
