April 19, 2010

A SWEET LITTLE "BEBE"

This is such an easy project for those old silver plates you have lying around.
Don't you just love the pretty detail on this old silver platter?  It just looks so 'girlie'!  I thought it would be adorabe in a baby's room so added "BEBE" along with some vintage bling!
Search your local crafting stores for rub-on vinyls to apply to old silver plates.   Paint and stencils would also work for this project.

When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies. And now when every new baby is born its first laugh becomes a fairy. So there ought to be.

What a great idea! At first I hated the thought of altering my silverplate, but then I thought, "Hey--it's just sitting in the shed getting tarnished and is never used." I'm going to give it a try. Thanks!

How cool! Just think if you put the vinyl on a piece of silver that was polished, then let it get all nice and tarnished, then take off the vinyl to show the polished part decorated! You have some wonderful ideas on here!!

I love this Janis! I don't have a cricut so last week I used a rub-on to put always and forever on a vintage silver coffee pot, then wrapped a necklace around the top, all in true Janis style! I could put words or numbers on anything! Thanks for the inspiration, Theresa

Another gorgeous project Janis. I was on a "hate silver" mission before I saw your projects and you have inspired me to look at it in a whole new way. I love silver now and can't get enough of it! It just really classes everything up when you mix it in and YOU take it up a notch with the added bling ~ love your projects!
