BURLAP AND RUFFLES

My sister-in-law picked up a fabulous old coffee sack for me one day and I couldn't
wait make a table runner with it!!!!
I just love the combination of burlap and ruffles (opposites attract!).
An old sheet from the thrift store (washed and bleached of course!) makes the perfect weighted material for this ruffle edge.
Happy day!

Lovely burlap table topper. I think adding ruffles is just what burlap needs to look gorgeous.

I love what bloggers are making out of coffee sacks. (in case you didn't know, I heart coffee) I saw some purses and shopping bags on Etsy that were fabulous. Ruffles are huge right now, too. On everything from home dec to clothing. I would love anything made out of coffee sack or ruffles.
**PEACE**

Janis, this turned out great and is perfect for your coffee table. I love how you sewed the ruffles over top of the burlap.
Anyone know where I can find a coffeesack?!

I love that runner! I like to see opposites together, too. I purchased some burlap recently and haven't done anything with it, I now have some ideas thanks to you! Your little vignette there in the tray is very sweet also.
I put a link to your blog on my post today, I love finding great Canadian blogs. I love yours. Hugs, Cindy S
