JUNKDREAMS HALLWAY DECOR

I am not feeling all together too crafty lately....yes....it's the weather (and the night shifts!), so I have decided to show you more pictures of our house.
I always love seeing how people decorate their homes so I thought I would give you a tour of our main entrance hall.
These pictures started out as coloured prints....I simply had them enlarged
and changed to B&W at a photo shop.
I then framed them (courtesy of IKEA) and made a grouping.
We have several sets of french doors in our home and one day I took the plunge and painted
them all black....(much to my husband's dismay).  But I am really happy with the results!
Painting the stripes on the wall was another fun project......my next task is to paint our kitchen cupboards!
These are some of my most favorite pictures of our three boys (taken when they were much younger than
they are now).
This was a very inexpensive way of decorating a large space, and it is one of my favorite projects ever!
Happy day to you!

I love the look and have begun to change over to black and white too. This wall is perfect! There is something sharp, simple and sweet about it. The first one I'm doing is of my son Todd and I when he was a few minutes old in my arms. He's 31 now. I gave him a copy for his 31st birthday with a card describing how I felt at that moment. Memories are wonderful aren't they...sons are cool! Jennifer

Your hallway and wall looks lovely, so clean and fresh and inviting.

They look great...I took all my photos down, to reframe and display on shelves, 6 months later, and Im still waiting!
You may have given me that bit of inspiration I needed!

It looks great. I am always concerned that the pictures don't go together (different backgrounds, etc) but by using all B&W they look beautiful! Thanks for all of your great ideas!

I love that look. I wish I had a stairway to do it...but I have no more walls. Sometimes, I think black and white photos are even more special and beautiful than color!

I love photo gallery walls (especially those in black and white) & yours is gorgeous! I have done one in my family room. I also LOVE the black french doors :-)

I love that look! Seems like black and white pictures expose the face of a child even more than color does. I have a spot picked out in my house to do something similar.

Now that is a lot of work! Last summer I visited my daughter in her new city apartment and I gave her 12 B&W framed pictures of Marilyn Monroe from a calendar. It took quite a while to get everything all spaced properly and level. Plus striped walls! Hats off to you!
