Welcome to one of my most favorite days of the week..........white Wednesday!!!! I'm beginning to think that I am a little obsessed with the color white, but if you take a trip over to Kathleen's blog at www.fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com you'll see that I'm not the only one that IS!!!!! (Ha, ha, ha....lots of laughs!!!).
More garden treats this week. This is a fountain I have in the backyard that has fallen over so many times after being hit with soccer and footballs that I'm always amazed it keeps working!!!! My white phlox looks so pretty in the water.
I have forgotten the name of this flower, but I love it as it blooms through most of the summer. I also have one with purple flowers. You can just make out the wheel of my little garden tricycle in the background of this picture.
Another little silver piece that gets filled with seed for the birds. It is hidden between the white phlox.
This was an ugly old brass light fixture I found at the thrift store. I gave it a couple coats of good old WHITE spray paint added some crystals and glass tea light holders and hung it from a tree.
This is a centerpiece I created using an old cooking mold I found at the thrift store. Here it is filled with white phlox. I did another post this summer that shows a before and after picture of this mold (Thrifty Summer Table Settings--July 2009).
Welcome to our home.........this bird bath sits on our front sidewalk. I like to place flowers in it to welcome guests.
Hope you are all finding some time to relax on these last days of summer. Pour yourself a glass of pink lemonade, add a skewer loaded with fresh blueberries.......sit back in a chippy, WHITE, weathered chair and rest your back on a cushion made with a piece of WHITE vintage eyelet.........that's what I'm up to today!!!!

It is just dreamy! Love it all.
How creative you are! I love that outdoor chandelier and your other ideas for adding to the beauty outdoors.
Very white and wonderful post, Janis. I didn't realize you were posting regularly, so will make the time to come back often now.
You've got to check out the new book by Tara Frey, "Blogging for Bliss". It is a must have. I'm inpatiently waiting for Borders Bookstore to call me with my 7 day old order, but I had a sneak peak at Barnes & Nobles and it is fab.

I love your chandelier! I just put one in a tree in my back yard and drug out an old bristo table that has been packed away for 4 years to put under it! I also found some small glass hanging candle holders at a discount card store and hung them in the tree also. Great ambiance in the evenings! I love white also.
