SILVER SUNDAY CRAFT PROJECT

I have been enjoying Silver Sundays so much....thank you to all who take time to visit my blog and leave such sweet comments.  A special thank you to Beth at Gypsy Fish Journal for hosting this fun day.

Today I am showing you an easy little craft project I did with some wood letters I found at the craft store.
I drilled holes through the tops of these letters so they could be strung with ribbon to create a word garland.
I painted the letters with a base coat of black then painted over the black with a clear drying glue and sprinkled away with SILVER glitter (of course).
I also tried some in white using white glitter which turned out really nice as well.
A very easy junk dreams project!!!!
You can find links to all the Silver Sunday participants on Beth's blog....

Happy dreaming my blogging friends.

WHAT'S BLACK AND WHITE AND ORANGE ALL OVER??

Hello my blogging friends.  It has been such a busy and somewhat trying week here that I missed posting for White Wednesday as well as Thriftday.........oh well, I know you all understand that we do what we can!!!  I have missed visiting all my favorite blogs this week, as well, so look forward to some catch up time.
Here is a look at some blacks, whites and oranges that I did a bit of decorating with this afternoon.

I made a little wreath out of some Chinese Lanterns I have growing in my backyard.  I simply strung some of the sweet orange lanterns on a piece of wire and then fashioned it into a circle.

I love white pumpkins and make my own by spray painting orange ones with white spray paint.
I made a stencil out of a paper doily and painted around the top of this one.

These round silver coasters were in a bag of silverplated cutlery I bought at the thrift store.
At first I was just planning to get rid of them as it was really the cutlery I wanted......then it came to me...... they would be perfect to create a fun little swag with.

Hope you all have enjoyed these black, white and orange images.  I thank you all once again from the bottom of my heart for all your encouraging words.

Junk Project: Vintage Photo Album Pages

Have you seen the latest issue of the Somerset Home magazine???  Tracie Lyn Huskamp http://www.thereddoor-studio.blogspot.com/ is featured and is the inspiration for the following project.  I took pages from a vintage photo album I had and instead of framing photos I framed embellished vintage music sheets.  Don't you just love the aged patina of this project??  I am loving these pages!!

Bits and pieces of vintage jewelry finish the look.

The following picture is my first attempt using Picassa photo collaging.  I'm in love with this program!!

Have a happy junking weekend everyone!!!
