OLD SPOOLS AND COFFEE DYED TAGS

Somerset Life has become my favorite magazine.......it is so full of amazingly wonderful and creative ideas.  I had seen a couple of projects in the magazine done using old thread spools and wanted to put my own spin on this great idea.  This is what I came up with.......

I decided to use them as embellishments for some burlap runners and pillows I made.  I simply wrapped a piece of scrapbooking paper around the spool and using wire, pearls and crystals made a little "eye catcher" to hang beside my coffee dyed price tags.

Happy day my blogging buddies!

What a charming embellishment for your pillows and runners. I've attached vintage pins to pillows, but adding something dangly just takes it to the next level!

Janis,
This is such a great looking embellishement. I can't tell you how many of my projects are inspired by Stampington mags. My mind explodes each time I see one. Lisa

Hi Janis,
I bought a big lot of vintage spools, I was going to wrap them in sheet music some day. I am still in my 'scrapbooking mode'. Not even blogging lately. But at least I am being creative. Do you think my followers would be interested in my scrapbook pages?
Your spools are so pretty.
