Hello my White Wednesday blogging friends.  Wow.....September already!!!!  Have had a great summer with the kids, but kind of looking forward to some rainy fall school days so I can get some projects done!

A FUN AND EASY JUNK PROJECT!

Thought I would post a fun and easy junk project today.....this was created using an old glass decanter found at the thrift store.  I simply added some rub-ons that I had on hand and glued a vintage earring to the front.  I am in the process of making some lavender scented bath salts to fill these with for Christmas.

WHITE WEDNESDAY ROSES

Happy White Wednesday!!

I wanted to show you my most favorite rose today......it is an old English David Austin rose and it is the most gorgeous smelling rose ever!

I have had this rose in my garden for a couple of years now....it is a very slow grower, but the beauty and scent of the roses it produces are worth the wait!

I made the little compote that the rose is sitting in by simply turning an old sherry glass upside down and gluing to a silver plate.

CAMPING FUN

We've just arrived home from two fabulous weeks at the lake.  What fun and adventures we had.....hiking up mountains, diving off cliffs, walking through 150 foot water falls and river rafting down rapids were just some of the fun things we did.  Gosh...3 teenage boys sure do keep you on your toes!!!!

Now I need to catch up on all the yard work and house work that didn't get done when I was away (how can a house get messy when most everyone that lives in it is away!?!).
Then, maybe, just maybe I will get some time to do some junking and creating!!!!

PINK SATURDAY

Happy Pink Saturday!!!!!!

I wanted to show you a special little gift I received for my birthday last year from one of my boys.  Every Christmas and birthday my middle son arranges with one of his aunties to take him to one of my favorite stores where he spends about an hour looking around and then finally choosing something very special for me!!  He is such a sweetheart!!

This pretty little candle was made by Anna Corba of Found Cat Studio.  She is one of my favorite artists and I also have a couple of her books which are so very inspiring!

Happy White Wednesday!!!!  I can't believe it is already August.....don't you wish time would slow down just a little!?!

Today I am showing you my vintage doll carriage planted up with some gorgeous white petunias and bacapo.......

I remember having a carriage just like this one as a young girl.......

GINGERBEER, ANYONE!?!

Thrifting is really one of my favorite things.....there are so many treasures to be found out there for cheap!!!  Today I am linking to Linda's blog  Coastal Charm to celebrate thrifty finds.

This is part of an old pottery gingerbeer bottle (the top is missing) from the early 1900s.

Collectors will pay a lot of money for these old pieces.......mine was given to me!!!!
