VINTAGE DOOR KNOB PROJECT

This is such a simple project.....
Just mount an old door knob on to a piece of scrap wood and you have an instant
vintage wall knob.
This was such a great find....love the design of the plate and knob!

Happy summer day!

NOT BURLAP....AGAIN?!!

Every time I work with burlap I swear it will be the LAST TIME!!!!
I just find it so nasty to work with!
.....BUT.....I looove the way it looks!!!

I love how these burlap runners turned out.....I made a simple burlap ruffle and
embellished the runner with vintage doilies and fabric flowers.
The Triangle Farm Tour is this Saturday (July 28th) in South Surrey.
Start off at the Festive Nest Summer Barn Sale....you'll find some of
these burlap runners for sale there.

VINTAGE PAPER CROWNS

I just love doing projects with the pages of vintage books!

Love how these sweet little crowns turned out.
The outsides are covered with pages from a children's storybook, the inside with pages from music books and each is embellished with a paper fan and vintage button/earring.
Hope all my blogging friends are enjoying these lovely summer days!

A LITTLE KITSCHY!?!

Something I really like about having neutral, mostly white decor in my home is
that I can totally change the look and feel of the house by simply adding a few inexpensive
hints of bold colour!

This kitschy flea-market owl was the perfect way to add a bold yellow in to
my decor!!!

The definition of "kitschy" according to Websters is:
"something of tawdry design, appearance, or content
created to appeal to popular or undiscriminating taste." !!!

Finally!.... I know what to call my taste/style--- "undiscriminating"! he,he,he
Happy day!

ANOTHER VINTAGE MARKET!!!

I'll tell you about THE MARKET in just a second....but first....

I want to show off my "business" apron....
I embellished my apron with a graphic, ruffle (made from an old sheet), felt flower
and a little vintage bling.
I made this apron to wear at The Olde Farmhouse Vintage
Market.
Also made one for my friend Tracey from raggygirl vintage as she was the one
who inspired me to participate in
a market (forgot to take pictures of hers so go to her blog and BUG her
to post some pics of it!--it's a little different than mine).

Okay....so finally....here is the more exciting news...
