CUPBOARD DOOR CHALKBOARD

Welcome to White Wednesday.
I found some old cupboard doors at a thrift store this past spring and was so excited to turn them into chalkboards like I had seen Ana at A Petite Cottage do.  The inside part of the cupboard door is painted with chalkboard paint and the outside a beautiful white.

I drilled a hole in the front to fit an old glass door knob I had on hand.
I love my little birdie stamp done on some vintage music papers...
Please visit Kathleen's blog at Faded Charm Cottage for thumbnails to all the White Wednesday participants.....it is an amazing group of talented bloggers.
Happy day!

PINWHEEL BANNER

I have been so loving some of the blogland paper projects I have been seeing this past year and so wanted to try some for myself.  I love how this "BOO" banner turned out and it was so simple and fun to do.  Just folded and cut book pages.......simple and CHEAP!!!!!

Did a quick trip in to Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware yesterday.....what inspiring stores they are!!  I am anxious to get to work on some ideas that have been spinning around in my head.  Hope all my blogging friends are well!
Happy day!

THRIFT STORE CHANDELIER

Happy White Wednesday!
Here is a look back at my beautiful David Austin white rose on a sunny summer day.  Here I used it to embellish a revamped thrift store chandelier.  I love how this white rose has bits of pink mingled in its petals.

Happy day!

RUSTY, CHIPPY BOBECHE

Happy 1st day of fall my blogging friends.
I have so many projects on the go right now that I haven't found anytime to sit down and get to my blog......in a way I look forward to some rainy fall days when I can stay inside and play catch up.
Here is some rusty and chippy elegance for you to feast your eyes on.....I think this is an old light fixture bobeche, but I love how it resembles a crown.
Have a happy day!

MAGNETIC MESSAGE BOARD

I have soooo much "STUFF" in my craft room that sometimes I feel like I'm drowning!!!!  So much "stuff" but funny how I can never find anything when I am looking for it.  Well, enough is enough......I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!!   So.....I have spent the past few days cleaning, sorting, organizing and getting rid of.  Amazing some of the stuff I have uncovered!!  Michaels has all their Cube and Making Memories organizers on 50% off.......I am once again loving my craft room and feeling so much more organized.
Still have a ways to go, but I will be sure to show you some pictures once I get it all done!
Sure hope you are all having a great week!!!

Oops, almost forgot......this is a silver tray turned magnetic bulletin board that I made (take a magnet with you on your thrifting treks so you can determine whether a tray is magnetic).
Happy day!

VINTAGE CRYSTAL PARIS NECKLACE

Hooray....it's Pink Saturday!!!
This is a necklace I made this past spring from a vintage chandelier crystal.  I found the prettiest pink wrapping paper made by the Cavallini Paper Company.  I simply traced the outline of the crystal on to the paper, cut and glued.  A chain from the thrift store and some beautiful vintage rhinestone beads complete the necklace.
Be sure to visit Beverly's blog at How Sweet the Sound for links to all the Pink Saturday participants.
Have a great day.

RECYCLED FRAMES

Happy White Wednesday!!!!
I am absolutely exhausted today with all the work up to getting the boys back to school---don't think any of us slept a wink last night.  My boys have gone to the same school together for years as it is kindergarten to grade twelve and my youngest started at a completely different school today so we were all pretty anxious for him.  Turns out everything went great and he is in love with his new school  so I am so relieved..change is never easy......
Back to my WW project.......these are some recycled frames from the thrift store.  I spray painted them white, added a rub-on to the glass, and backed them with some pretty scrapbooking paper.
A crystal and vintage earring finish off the frames.
Hoping these first days of school go well for all of you with school-age children.
Blessings to you!

OLD SPOOLS AND COFFEE DYED TAGS

Somerset Life has become my favorite magazine.......it is so full of amazingly wonderful and creative ideas.  I had seen a couple of projects in the magazine done using old thread spools and wanted to put my own spin on this great idea.  This is what I came up with.......

I decided to use them as embellishments for some burlap runners and pillows I made.  I simply wrapped a piece of scrapbooking paper around the spool and using wire, pearls and crystals made a little "eye catcher" to hang beside my coffee dyed price tags.

Happy day my blogging buddies!
