SILVER SUNDAY THRIFTY FIND!

I love going thrifting with my mom and dad, and so enjoyed a day with them doing just that, when we were home over the holidays.  Well, what a great find we made that day.....you see I have been looking for a silver fish tank for months and months!!!!!!!!!  And that is just what I found on our thrifting adventure
(along with lots of other goodies)!!!!!

I first saw vintage fish tanks used in home decorating in a post my junking buddy Lani of Cottage Elements did for the junkmarket style site.  I absolutely loved how she incorporated one into her decorating.  I have been dying for one ever since, and this month I also spotted one in the pages of the Jean D'Arc Magazine.

Here I have filled my vintage fish tank with some favorite pieces of mercury glass as well as part of my rhinestone tiara collection.

My head is swimming with all the possible ways to use this tank!

Hope you have enjoyed my Silver Sunday post.  Be sure to click the link on my sidebar for a list of all the participants.  Thankyou to Gypsy Fish for sponsoring this fun silver-filled day!

  20. I first saw the "fish tank" display on Start at Home with HGTV a couple of years ago...and just last month finally found one! What a fantastic display it makes! Only problem, I couldn't resist...sold it and now it'll probably be another couple of years before I find another...oh well, my hunt continues...Thanks for sharing such beautiful pictures.
