Today for White Wednesday I thought I would show you some pictures of my living room which mostly consists of my favorite colour..............WHITE!!
Such a beautiful sunny day here.
At first glance you may think: 'what, "WHITE"???? WITH 3 BOYS AND A DOG!!!!!!' But, honestly, white slip covered furniture is the best solution for keeping a home with kids and pets looking clean and tidy. You see, any mess or stain can be easily bleached out....so every week or two on wash day it looks like you have a set of new furniture!!!

I love these IKEA shelves as they are deep enough to hold lots of treasures.
A glimpse into the family room, which consists of mainly whites as well.

ReplyDeleteHow peaceful! I have 4 kids still at home and a big, black Bogart...I would love to have white slipcovers, but I'd be washing and putting them on every week. What I'd really love is white leather! Or even deep brown leather and throw white quilts over top...those can be washed more easily.

I totally agree! White is the way to go when you have kids, the covers get wash and the furniture gets re-painted or scratched with character!!! Sounds easy to me!!

ReplyDeleteI am totally with you on the white slipcover thing. I had two dogs, and I have two boys, one 5 and one 22 mos and no matter what they or my husband drops on the sofa, I can just take it off and throw it in the wash with a bit of bleach and walla, fresh white slipcovers again. Most people just look horrified when they see my white furniture, but I just smile. Have a great day!
