OBSESSIONS-DOILIES, MASON JARS & BURLAP

I have to admit to having a bit of an obsessive/compulsive personality....
and since my current obsessions include
doilies, mason jars & burlap
over the next few weeks I'll be showing you lots of projects that
I have done that include these things.
I love this round black suitcase that I picked up at a thrift store.....
it seemed the perfect piece to add some doily embellishments to.
I used a spray glue to adhere the doilies to the suitcase and
just a touch of hot glue to keep them in place while the spray glue was drying.
The cute little felt flowers were easy to make and add some dimension to the
front of the piece.
Doilies are really popular for use in wedding decor right now...
wouldn't this be adorable sitting on a gift table!?

I have it up for sale this week at The Passionate Home in Langley, BC

VALENTINES PROJECT #10 TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY

Happy Valentines' Day!
Here is my final Valentines project......
This project was inspired by Graffiti Art in the United Kingdom.
I found an ugly piece of framed art at the thrift store and gave the entire piece
a couple coats of spray paint.  After letting this dry I
glued wooden letters on
(found at Michaels)...
Then I gave the entire piece a few coats of white paint, distressed it and....
thats all it took!

VALENTINE PROJECT #9 PAPER HEART GARLAND

VALENTINE PROJECT #9 is...
a paper heart garland.

 So easy.....supplies needed are
1. vintage music paper (or any type of paper)
2. sewing machine and thread
Cut a bunch of paper hearts and lie two together and fold in half....using your sewing machine
stitch down the center of each folded pair placing the hearts one after another
so the thread remains intact.
Once sewn, open up your hearts by bending back at the fold lines.

String your garlands throughout your home...

Happy day!
