WHITE WEDNESDAY THRIFTY RE-DO

Happy White Wednesday my blogging friends.  Today I am showing you a very simple transformation (sorry no before pictures).  All that is needed is one of my favorite things (a can of white spray paint!).
These vintage mirrors can often be found at your local thrift store and are usually brass in colour.  I easily took apart the mirror and gave the frame a few coats of spray paint.  Then re-assembled, glued on a jewel and added a rub-on.

Visit Kathleen's blog for a list of all the WW participants.  Happy day my blogging friends.

WHAT'S BLACK AND WHITE AND ORANGE ALL OVER??

Hello my blogging friends.  It has been such a busy and somewhat trying week here that I missed posting for White Wednesday as well as Thriftday.........oh well, I know you all understand that we do what we can!!!  I have missed visiting all my favorite blogs this week, as well, so look forward to some catch up time.
Here is a look at some blacks, whites and oranges that I did a bit of decorating with this afternoon.

I made a little wreath out of some Chinese Lanterns I have growing in my backyard.  I simply strung some of the sweet orange lanterns on a piece of wire and then fashioned it into a circle.

I love white pumpkins and make my own by spray painting orange ones with white spray paint.
I made a stencil out of a paper doily and painted around the top of this one.

These round silver coasters were in a bag of silverplated cutlery I bought at the thrift store.
At first I was just planning to get rid of them as it was really the cutlery I wanted......then it came to me...... they would be perfect to create a fun little swag with.

Hope you all have enjoyed these black, white and orange images.  I thank you all once again from the bottom of my heart for all your encouraging words.

MONDAY JUNK PROJECT!!

By now you all know just how much I LOVE JUNK!!!!  Today I am featuring a junk project I did using an old cupboard door that was destined for the land fill.

I love french decorating and use a lot of it in my own home, so I decided that this cupboard door would be perfect with some added french destinations to it.  I cut the letters out of vinyl using my wishblade machine and rubbed them on.

Had to save the original hinges and latch as they add to the beauty of the piece.

This is a before picture of the cupboard door. All I did to prepare it for this project was to remove the one hinged piece at the top, wash it and give it a light sanding.

Well, that's it my friends...........another easy junkdreams project!!!
BTW....I hope this posts makes sense as I have just finished two very busy
nightshifts at the hospital and am feeling exhausted.
Hope you are all well.
Happy day and have fun junking!!!

DONE & THANK-YOU!!!

Well, the house is a mess, the laundry is over-flowing, and the kids haven't had a decent meal for a couple days, BUT..........I've finished another order......Hooray!!!!!   Just had to show it to you all.

I also wanted to tell you all something.....when I first started my blog I wanted a venue to keep a record of my projects......little did I realize that I would meet such an amazing group of people.  I am overwhelmed that so many people have become followers of this little blog, but I am more overwhelmed by all the encouragement, support and inspiration you have all provided me.  I cherish each of your comments and appreciate them deeply.  I am so blessed to have so many like-minded new friends in my life.

Happy day my blogging friends.
