October 28, 2009

WHITE WEDNESDAY SITTING DOWN

I was given four old chairs by my mom and dad that were sitting out in their shed.  This is the first re-do of one of those chairs which will all eventually be painted white and embellished somehow.

I wanted this chair to look as if it had been sitting in the basement of a Parisien hotel for years, so used some graphite paper to write the words on the seat and the back has a room number on it.
Have a fabulous White Wednesday and don't forget to head over to Kathleen's blog for a list of all the W.W. participants.
Happy day!

I love your chair, before I read what all the numbers were about, I thought perhaps you put your house number on it, and had it out for all to find your home. I love to have a chair on my porch, so I can sit down and take my muddy shoes off when I'm coming in from the garden.

Your ideas are always the best. Sometimes just something simple and elegant is all things need...and a little white paint!
